Lovisagården (Lovisa’s farm) is the name of our ancestral home, located in the centre of the beautiful village of Stenberga on 300 ha of mature woodland. The farm is part of a vibrant farming community and is surrounded by forests and meadows rich in flora and fauna. The farm is run as an active agricultural and forestry enterprise, producing organic beef with its own fishing licence for Lake Saljen.
Since 2005 we run a welcoming cafe in the old village shop. The cafe still retains many of the original features from the 1850’s and is housed in the manor house where we live. In the summer the garden invites visiting guests to sit down and relax. Lovisagården is truly a place where you can feel at home.
In 2012 we finished building three traditional log cabins that were named Boda By. The cabins were constructed from pine timber and dovetail joining, using only environmentally sustainable techniques and materials. A fourth building completing this complex, Bystugan, offers visiting guests a chance to enjoy a wood fired sauna and houses laundry facilities.
During 2012 the farm was expanded to include the historical buildings of Kyrktorp, a secluded farm located on high ground and surrounded by a wonderful mature landscape. The old barn at Kyrktorp has been converted into two beautiful apartments ‘The Stable’ and ‘The Loft’. The manor house itself will also be available for rent following renovation and restoration work.
